Arien really worked hard on the day of our wedding. I wish I would have communicated with him more as to what kind of photos I like, etc. before the ceremony. I like the finished products, but would have enjoyed them more had I shared my opinions with him before hand. I don't consider that to be Arien's fault. I just wasn't sure how much contact I should have with him and it was a destination wedding, so it made things a bit more difficult. A Paradise Wedding exceeded our expectations, we never thought that planning a wedding from a far could be so stress free or that it would go as well as our wedding day went. Jo Thurman was absolutely amazing to work with, she was always quick to respond to our many emails (and there was lots!) and always had a solution on hand for any situation! We miss being able to talk to her now that the wedding is over!! Gordon and Ian, I cannot even explain how comfortable you made us feel on our wedding day your professionalism, kindness, and eye for detail made our experience wonderful...I wish we could come back every year for our family photos! Our photos arrived exactly when you said they would, and we were blown away with how beautiful and unique they are. Thank you for capturing our memories so perfectly. Our videographer was also very professional and made us feel very comfortable and as well did an amazing job on our wedding DVD, we were surprised and thankful that our DVD arrived sooner than we were told. Della our onsite coordinator had everything so well organized that we didn't have to worry about one thing when we arrived at the beach, our cake was the best tasting cake we have ever had....we only wish it were a little bit bigger so we could have enjoyed it for a few more days! Regina did a fabulous job on our hair and makeup, we had a lot of fun getting ready with her there...as well she gave us all stunning hairstyles. I was a little disapointed with our flowers when we arrived at the beach as they were not exactly how I had asked them to be, but my disappointment quickly disappeared when I reallized that though they may not have been the exact flowers I wanted they were still the right colors and were also very beautiful, and a very minor detail to our day.

Booking a destination wedding from Calgary, AB Canada seemed a little scary to me but as soon as I spoke with Joanne on the phone, I knew everything was going to be OK. He was super laid back, easy going, and returned my e-mail of questions. The minister, I think his name was Dennis, was perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was so nice to fill out a form online and everything was taken care of for us. The biggest decision I had to make was the which of the beautiful beaches to pick for the ceremony. The Cove was amazing. Jayanne did a great job organizing all the details. Could not have done this without her. Our minister, Kenneth, was chosen for us and were very pleased with his service. He made the actual ceremony a lot of fun and made us feel at ease. Eric took awesome pictures. It was hard waiting 2 months to finally get to see them. There were 5 other weddings at the same
time and you can't even tell we weren't the only 2 people on the beach from the pictures. The cake and toast was great. We loved the flavor of the cake so much. My hair and make up couldn't have been better. I went into the appointment with nothing in mind and she did wonders with both. Even our limo driver, Rob, was great. He picked us up from the hotel a little early and drove us around while he gave us a history lesson of the island.

I would highly recommend A Paradise Dream Wedding for planning a wedding on Maui. It was a completely stress free process. We could not be happier with our wedding.

Everything turned out perfectly - With the hit of the evening being 'our' slide show surprise. Rebecca immediately started crying when she realized what it was. We will be telling the story for years how you and I covertly worked to surprise them. They couldn't believe it.  It was perfect, Ian.   It truly was one of the most joyous celebrations our family has ever had. What can I say? I searched for several weeks before deciding on APDW. The pictures were so beautiful and surreal and after talking to Joanne, we were ready to book. Everything turned out much better than we could have ever imagined!

As for each category:

Coordinator: Jayanne is THE BEST! She's so sweet and she did an excellent job coordinating everything. I enjoyed our email correspondence and we were very happy to finally meet her after our wedding! :-)

Minister: Kimo was awesome. He kept both of us calm and performed a beautiful ceremony.

Photographer: Arien is great!! He got all of the shots we wanted and helped us take the best photos.

Videographer: Brian was excellent. He and Arien worked together to make sure all of our best moments were captured. There was a typo with our wedding date on the video, but he promptly sent us another video and re-posted it on the website.

Flowers: The flowers came out just like I had expected. They were absolutely beautiful!!

Musician: The musicians did a wonderful job at our ceremony. The music was beautiful and the guests enjoyed it.

Limo: The only reason we gave this category a 9 is because we were supposed to have the Rolls Royce, which needed maintenance. Jayanne suggested some alternatives and we still ended up happy with the Lincoln limo we had.

Hair & Makeup: I only had my makeup done. Regina was GREAT! She did such a good job on my makeup. I received many compliments.

Location: We loved the church we were married in. We even got to meet the caretaker, Edith, who was very sweet. The beach across the street made for excellent shots and the beach we drove to was even better!

On-Site Coordinator: Chris did a wonderful job. He kept me calm in the moments right before the ceremony. He also kept things moving in a timely manner. He was much appreciated!

Sales Person: Joanne was super helpful. When I first called I was a little leery of trying to plan something so huge across thousands of miles, but she assured me that things would be fine and gave me very good suggestions. She immediately made me feel at ease and
was the reason I booked shortly after speaking with her. Everyone and everything else was the icing on the cake!

All in all you cannot go wrong planning a wedding with APDW. Our wedding day was the most beautiful, unforgettable, heartwarming, and special day we have had thus far in our relationship together. I would do it all again in a heartbeat...I think we may be planning it all over again in 30 years with a vow renewal!

I cannot imagine our wedding being any different. It was truly perfect. We even had some dolphins swim by and a large turtle wash up in one of the waves. Chris was our on- site coordinator and was AWESOME! I didn't realize that he had to go pick up the cake and butterflies because they didn't show up. Our wedding will forever be one of the most amazing and special memories of our life. After years of talking about what we wanted our wedding to be like, we were pleasantly surprised to have EVERY aspect of our day surpass our expectations. Our ceremony took place at sunset on 9/8/2008 at Kapalua Bay Beach. We had not seen the location until the day before the wedding, and were a little concerned that the public beach would interfere with our intimate gathering. It did not, at all. PLENTY of room to move around. The beach was more beautiful than we'd imagined and both agreed we would choose the same location over again if we could. Kimo was our minister and was fabulous. He had everyone laughing at numerous times during the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted for our guests. Our photographer was AMAZING. So laid back and yet so professional. We just received our pictures back and they are beyond anything we imagined or expected!!!! Our whole experience has been amazing, from coordinating with Jayanne over emails to being photographed by Arien and having our DVD shot by Brian, we had an ideal experience with A Paradise Dream Weddings. All you have to do is look at their pictures and you can see the high standards this company's employees and affiliates hold themselves to. Every person that has seen our photos has commented on how flawless and well-composed they are. "Like a picture in a magazine," is what I keep hearing. It is a true testament that everything was outstanding when my husband and I both agree that if we could do it over again, we wouldn't change a single thing.

I think every bride to be has anxiety when they first start thinking about a destination wedding because of the fact that you can't whip around the corner to check out the flowers, see the location, have a hair and makeup consultation etc. Well, all the stress was lifted after the first contact with our coordinator. A few simple questions and you're on your way! The website is also easy to navigate and also not cheesy at all like many destination wedding websites out there. You can tailor any package to your liking so you aren't charged for extras if you don't want them.

Our coordinator had some very helpful tips- who her favourite vendors were, some cost friendly alternatives to certain things etc. It is wonderful to know that she is making sure everyone shows up and does what they are supposed to do!! She had a wonderful sense of humor too and always responded promptly to my questions.

Gordon Nash is outstanding- but if you have looked at his work you will already know that. I have had so many people remark that my wedding photos are the nicest they have ever seen! I am also very thankful that we opted to have the wedding dvd done- if you are wondering if it's worth it- it is. We had a reception back home so it was such a treat to be able to include those that weren't there in our ceremony.

We were married at Poolenalena beach which was gorgeous- don't need to go overboard on decorations as the setting is already stunning! It was also so special to be able to get some sunset photos. If you're worried about the public being around- don't be. In fact in a couple of our pictures we have 2 little girls in the background watching us- my husband thinks it's a sign we will have daughters! Haha.

We were married by Rev. Vance who gave us the gift of a warm, beautiful ceremony with Hawaiian touches! A man with lovely energy.

Our on-site contact, Della who also made my unbelievable bouquet, was a dream to deal with on site. Our videographer, Dan, kept us laughing & we cannot say enough about our photographers, Eric & Arien. Both were true professionals & captured the most amazing photographs of our wedding day! We had a morning wedding & scheduled both Eric & Arien to attand our luau "reception" in order to capture sunset & candid photographs of that part of the day. The entire experience was flawless. Jo, our coordinator was amazing and so easy to work with. She kept us organized and in the loop. Our on site coordinator was ready to show our party of 28 to their place on the Keawakapu beach, where a guitarist played for them. She recomended I got there 20 minutes later, and when my father and I arrived, she had my beautiful boquet ready and showed me the way to the ceremony. She explained the procedure as we went along. She made it all seamless. We were never stressed our or worried about our group. I never even noticed GOrdon and his assistant taking our pictures during the ceremony, we were too busy listening to Kimo our minister. Kimo was amazing with his words, and no rehearsal was necessary. He spoke loud enough for the entire group to hear, he even did a chant and a Hawaiian prayer for us. It felt very private and special, even if we weren't alone on the beach. We were the only wedding party I saw the entire week we were in Keihi. I had nightmares that I walked onto the beach and had to look around for the right Groom and wedding party! NOT the case at all. Just a bit of wedding jitters I suppose! We chose to all go to lunch afterwards for a casual reception, and not do cake or a toast on the beach. When our crowd went to the restaurant, Gordon kept us busy with pictures for another hour and a half. He knew what poses look great on the beach and explained everything step by step. I was worried since he is such a big name photographer he would be hard to work with or too bossy. He is such a humble man who has traveled the world. He finds beauty in everything and knows how to capture it in a picture. Our time with him went very quickly and we could hardly wait 3 weeks to see the pictures! We were so happy with them. They were worth the wait! I have already recommended 2 of my family friends to use A Paradise Dream Wedding and Gordon Nash. One was in Maui 2 weeks ago and just got her pictures (Chrissy Schreier and new Husband Brian). The other Kirsten Killingstad is working on the date, but will be using the same group we loved! Thanks for everything! Our wedding is something our friends and family are still talking about and the memories and pictures of Maui will last FOREVER!!!

A Paradise Dream Wedding gave my wife and I a truly memorable and beautiful experience for our vow renewal ceremony.  It was second to none.  The pleasant staff helped us through all of our requests and everything was set up and came off smoothly and without a hitch.  Our photographer, Eric Dahl, was a wonderful person and very creative and talented.  His photography was amazing and brought tears to my wife's eyes when she viewed them.  She looks back at them almost every day since.  We have shared the photos with our friends and family and recommended Maui Weddings to everyone we have spoken with.  We highly recommend them to you!

Arien and Chris were fantastic the day of the wedding. Of course the only day it rained during our stay was the day of the wedding. When we arrived at Fleming Beach, it was drizzly and cloudy. I asked if we could change locations to the private beach at the condos we were staying at and they were more than happy to accommodate my request. Arien took incredible photos!!! My flowers were gorgeous to my surprise. I had not requested anything specific just tropical in reds and oranges and they were absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Regina Campisi for hair and makeup. She was wonderful to talk to and did an incredible job!

Hair & Makeup: This I was very shaky on. Not having a trial run on hair and makeup really scared me. But the Lady that came to my hotel room the day of our wedding was great. I did not even have to tell what I wanted. She had an idea and it turned out wonderful. I do recommend that you bring your own lipstick because she did not have any that you can buy, which I did not bring any.
Location: We picked the Cove for our location. We stopped by to look at it the day before. Just me and my new husband. As soon as we stepped through the opening of the wall and saw a mini paradise. It took our breath away. I loved the lava rocks, the sand was so soft and I loved the spray that would come up.
On-Site Coordinator: We did not hire a coordinator but there was someone present to assist us. Which ended up being very helpful!
Wedding Sales & Booking: Could not have been easier.

Me and my husband ran across your web site when looking for a wedding destination. We fell in love with your pictures and location. We made a phone call and was greeted with a warm welcome. We filled out simple paperwork and our wedding was set. Once we arrived to Hawaii we were called to make sure everything was set for our big day. Once the day arrived we were greeted at our wedding location with a great crew- all smiles and happy to help us in anyway. We did have a lot of family present that wanted pictures with us as we went and Ian was very accommodating.

Jayanne was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire planning process. Reverend Kimo has a great personality and really made our ceremony special and comfortable! Gordon Nash could not have been any better. His laid back attitute made photos very carefree and enjoyable. The photos are absolutely gorgeous! The videographer was very unintrusive and the video with childhood photos was great. The only reason we gave him a 9/10 is because the childhood photos were mislabeled in the beginning of the DVD. The flowers were exactly what we asked for. The harpist was very skilled and pleasant. In room hair and make up was definitely worth it and turned out perfectly (despite the fact that I never wear makeup, she did a wonderful job making me look very natural). The Cove is absolutely perfect for a wedding with a combination of waves crashing, lava rocks, palm trees, and an island off the coast for a backdrop. We honestly could not have asked for anything more. Our wedding was perfect! Thank you SO much for making all of our dreams come true!!

Working with A Paradise Dream Wedding was the best decision that we made for our destination wedding. I am usually a very organized person and like to be in control of everything so I thought that I would be a mess until the wedding, but Jo and Arlyn were very good at responding to my emails and putting me at ease. When we got to Maui, I felt like I was able to relax and enjoy spending time with our families instead of stressing about about minor wedding details. On the day of the wedding, I told Shelly a general idea of what I wanted for my hair and she gave me the best up-do I've ever had. She also did a great job with the makeup. I was going to do my own makeup at first, but I'm so glad I had her do it because my makeup stayed fresh the whole time - even on the beach! When I arrived at the ceremony site, Diana greeted me and gave me my flowers. These flowers were just as beautiful as they were in the pictures online! I didn't expect my boquet to actually look like that, but it was perfect! Eric was so great to work with - he really listened to what kind of pictures we wanted, and he had some great ideas! As we were taking pictures at the Cove, it started raining on us, so Eric met us on another beach to finish taking pictures. I felt like he was really invested in making sure he got all of the shots and that they turned out good. Eric sent us a few pictures ahead of time for us to use at our reception back in Texas, and they are beautiful! We spent months looking at the pictures online, imagining what our day would look like, and after seeing some of the pictures we can't believe that it's us in those pictures! I was really impressed by how much attention to detail and how much time and effort that your company puts into each wedding! You guys did all of the work and all we had to do is show up. I can't even begin to thank all of you for giving us and our families these beautiful memories! I wish I had more friends getting married in Maui so I could make sure they use A Paradise Dream Wedding!

The location was perfect just after Eric showed us the section on the beach that was not covered with July 4th campers! Rev. Kenneth was a pleasure to work with. Thanks to a Paradise Dream Wedding for making June 12, 2008 in Makena, Maui the best day of our lives! The professionalism of the top rate staff employed with A Paradise Dream Wedding is to be commended for the way they orchestrated our entire wedding day from early that morning until our photography session was complete at The Cove after our beach ceremony. When we originally called and booked our wedding through Arlyn, we were concerned about a variety of topics and she put us right at ease. She even suggested that we have a morning ceremony rather than an evening one due to the "color" of the Pacific that we had admired from other photos by the photographers. From there Jo Thurman took over and arranged a moment by moment schedule of events so that when we arrived in Maui all we had to do was get our marriage license! My hair and makeup were attended to in my hotel room by a lovely woman named DeeJay. She asked to see my dress and then came up with a design she thought would fit me best. DeeJay was wonderful and an early riser to be at my hotel promptly at 6:15 AM. What a day! We were off to The Cove on a cloudy morning...but the SUN popped out during our ceremony on the beach which made Arien's photos the most phenomenal works of art that all our friends and family have ever seen! Our minister, Tino, the violinist and the entire crew at The Cove worked hard to see that we were relaxed and having the time of our lives! We laughed a lot! Chris made sure our cake, toast and set-up went smoothly. Carl, our videographer, took amazing footage and we received a memorable wedding video that will take us back to Maui whenever we view it! Arien Sherman, our photographer had the "vision" from the moment he started our photo shoot as the ceremony began. The presentation of photos on the DVD, as well as online and again in his slideshow painted a true portrait of what June 12, 2008 meant to us. Arien's talents are truly a gift - I hope other brides and grooms choose Arien for his style, artistic craft and comfortable personality! We cannot thank all of you enough! We just had a Luau Wedding Reception at our home for family and friends last weekend, and they are all raving and amazed by the photos and videos. Let's say, A Paradise Wedding made us look gorgeous! It was a leap of faith booking a wedding, location, photographer, and a minister online. However, we were so impressed with the website, the photography, and the emails from our coordinator, Jayanne Jefferys, that absolutely any doubts we had melted away. The wedding itself, the experience, was beyond any dreams we ever had. Our on-site coordinator, Shena, arranged by Jayanne, was perfect. As far we're concerned, Tino is the best minister in the world! The location was stunning. We choose Makena Cove in South Maui. We had butterflies floating through our ceremony and surfers in the waves of the Pacific behind us. In our opinion, the photographs are just as important as the ceremony itself. Our photographer, Arien Sherman, was amazing at the ceremony. At first we thought we weren't going to be able to use Arien because of a schedule conflict, but he made an extreme effort to shoot our wedding! Thanks again to Arien for being there for us. We clicked with him immediately. He made us comfortable, happy, and excited to be photographed. We truly had a perfect wedding!!! On receipt of our photographs, we popped the DVD slideshow into the player and cried when we saw the images that Arien took. He is so talented. He captured even the smallest meaningful moment. We had a reception for our friends & family that weren't able to make the wedding and every person was stunned at how beautiful the photographs, location, and service was. Absolutely everyone involved with the planning of our wedding was so, so, so kind and friendly and approachable. Jo was our planner and she handled everything with utmost aloha. She gave us lots of insider tips and we always heard from her right away if we had questions. We always felt totally secure and safe in our decision to plan a wedding from 2,000 miles away, which I think is no easy feat.

Ken, our minister, was da kine, as Hawaiians would say. EVERYONE at our wedding commented on how wonderful he was, how warm, and how we instantly felt like friends. It was as if he'd known us forever.

Arien and Carl made everyone comfortable for the photos and video, and we are so happy to have such beautiful photos as memories of our big day. We were overjoyed with the photos! It's hard not to be happy with a day in Hawaii, but everyone made sure everything went smoothly. My flowers looked exactly as I had suggested--and that was only a suggestion. I actually cried when I saw them.

Most importantly, we were able to kick back and relax and really fully enjoy our wedding because we weren't caught up in the details. Our minister told us we are now all ohana, and that's how we feel!

Our minister Kimo was also absolutely brilliant! His lively and enthusiastic nature soon put us at ease and we felt he really meant every word he spoke. We are so glad we had Kimo as we shall never forget our ceremony. It was wonderful. Thank you!

Our videographer was also fantastic, however one little thing I will mention is on our DVD there are two people in the background right at the beginning of our ceremony and the boy actually waves at the camera! We are a little disappointed as this should have been seen straight away and rectified instead of a couple of minutes of them in the background. Otherwise he was great, made us feel relaxed and tried so hard to get all our memories on our video!

Over all fantastic, a few areas let it down but it didn't affect our overall experience and we have some lovely memories that we will never forget! Thank you so much!

We were extremely impressed with the professionalism of all of the staff associated with A Paradise Dream Wedding. Gordon was simply amazing and everyone who views our wedding photos describes them as something they'd imagine seeing in a magazine. Jo answered all of my e-mail questions and reassured me when I had concerns about details of the wedding. She made the arrangements as painless as they can be when planning a wedding from across the country. :-) Our wedding videographer was very friendly and captured excellent footage of the ceremony and key moments afterwards. The location of the wedding ceremony (Maui Prince Hotel - Pacific Lawn) was picturesque, and allowed for privacy and beauty since it overlooks the ocean and there are palm trees surrounding the area. It was the perfect choice for our small group of 15. Our minister, Tino Rosete, was wonderful. He managed to get the pronunciation of my maiden name correct when hearing it only once and gave a beautiful traditional Hawaiian ceremony from memory.

The wedding was the best experience we have had. Our coordinator Jo was so attentive and kept in constant contact with us. Using a coordinator takes the stress of the wedding that one would usually have. The location selected, The Cove, was the most breathtaking place we have encountered.

The photographer Eric was the best. He was so easy to work with and he was able to set us at ease on the activity. We told him, we wanted awesome pictures, so we had quite a bit of time to get very creative and have some very fun photos. The pictures that we received are so awesome and breathtaking that Eric made them look the day was set for us.

We had a FABULOUS experience with a Paradise Dream Wedding.  I selected this company off the internet & based on photo quality/style, thinking if they take this much pride in photos, they must take pride in planning as well.  I was right!!  Joanne (our coordinator) was great…she took all of our wishes & gave us a beautiful wedding day that we will always remember!  We even had to reschedule our wedding just 5 days before the original date due to my fiancé (now husbandJ) being in an accident the night before we were to leave for Hawaii!  Joanne took care of everything to reschedule for 3 ½ months later (time fiancé needed to recover) & we weren’t even penalized for the change!  Eric, our photographer, was great as well!  He captured the most beautiful moments of our day & even got great portraits of my hubby, who is camera shy!  The videographer was great & even captured the whales that attended our wedding in the ocean behind us!  Our photos & video made me cry they were so beautiful!  We were thrilled! ALL of the vendors were great & the only mishap (hair lady overslept…I had AM wedding) turned out fine.  She was so good at doing hair/makeup that I was ready from start to finish in one hour! And only about 10 minutes late!  Amazing!  And I think I would have looked just as great had she been on time!  All in all it was a magical day that I will treasure forever!  Mahalo!

Everything went very smoothly!  I was first attracted to your website because of the photography.  Since we were going to have a quiet ceremony with only the two of us, I wanted the captured moments to be the best they could possibly be for the people at home.  I chose you because your photographers capture the essence of the moment - we didn't even need to have a videographer because the photos really do speak for themselves!  Arien was terrific - besides being talented, he spent a lot of time making sure that he could get the best shots that he could - even with 25 mph winds!
